Dancing On Ice: X Factor's Chico replaces injured Chesney Hawkes?

Chesney Hawkes (Dancing On Ice)

X Factor star Chico has reportedly been brought in to replace Chesney Hawkes, after the singer injured himself badly in the run up to the weekend's first live show.

Pictures of Chico in his full skating gear have emerged following the announcement of the line up on Tuesday.

Chesney, who had originally been a apart of the celeb line up, was not present at this week's rehearsals or press day after hurting his ankle.

Fellow Dancing On Ice contestant Chemmy Alcott said: "We're still waiting to hear how bad it is.

“I've got a lot of tips from doctors and healing tools, so last night I fired over an email to him and I spoke to him. He seems really down because he's put so much into this competition, we miss him.”

ITV however have yet to confirm the rumours.

This year’s show has already been plagued by injuries, with Sugababes star Heidi Range hospitalised after a fall this week and doctors advising Laila Morse to quit after a shoulder injury.

Presenter Keith Chegwin also had to pull out of the show before it had started, after breaking his ribs and shoulder in training.
