Megan is best known for her appearances on reality TV shows such as Ex On The Beach and Celebrity Big Brother.

She is now one of six semi-finalists on Celebrity X Factor, having impressed judges with a string of original songs.

In a new interview and photoshoot with Notion magazine, Megan said this week: “I’m being taken seriously and it’s taken a long time but it’s finally happening.”

She explained: “For so long people judged me and when people meet me they always say ‘oh my god you’re actually nice!’

“I’ve just thought for a long time now I just need to get my head down, pull away from reality and time will show people that this is something I’ve been working towards.”

Meanwhile, Megan admitted she was getting “more nervous” as she progressed on The X Factor’s new Celebrity spin-off.

“I thought I wouldn’t be as stressed about it. But, I think it’s because I do want it so bad and the competition is getting stronger each week,” she said. “It’s just mad to think no one is safe, you just never know who is going to get the most votes.

“‘Will people actually vote?’ That’s what you’re always thinking. There’s a constant feeling of worry in you. I’m just doing all that I can really.”

This weekend sees the remaining six celebrity contestants performing live for a fifth time.

Joining Megan are footballer turned actor Vinnie Jones, The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, rugby trio Try Star, social media influencers V5 and duo Max & Harvey.

Saturday night will also see a special guest act as former X Factor judge Louis Tomlinson takes to the stage.

He will be performing live ahead of the release of his debut solo album Walls.
