Former X Factor finalist Amelia Lily is reportedly joining the cast of Geordie Shore in a shock career move.
Amelia is known for singing, having scored a number two hit with 'You Bring Me Joy' after she came third on the ITV talent contest in 2011.
She has since moved in to theatre, appearing in shows such as American Idiot and Shrek the Musical.
According to The Sun, Amelia - whose other songs include 'Party Over' - is about to begin filming for the 21st series of raunchy MTV reality staple Geordie Shore.
"Bosses are made up they've signed Amelia for the show and promise she will make it the best series yet," a source said.
"She's always up for a laugh and will make great telly for viewers.
"Amelia's not shy about saying what she thinks either so things could get explosive."
Needless to say, fans are quite surprised about the news, which bosses are yet to confirm.
"My brain can’t process Amelia Lily joining the Geordie Shore cast," wrote one user on Twitter.
"Oh my god Amelia what ARE you doing," added another.
While Geordie Shore might have been the last place you'd expect Amelia to turn up, she is no stranger to life on camera.
Amelia eventually finished the series as runner-up to Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding.
Geordie Shore's latest run will also see Chloe Ferry return following her break-up with fellow cast member Sam Gowland.
Geordie Shore airs on MTV.
