Jake Quickenden is set to join the cast of Hollyoaks, it's been reported.
Now he's set to turn his sights to the soaps, with The Sun reporting he'll be joining Hollyoaks in the autumn.
The tabloid says he'll play a builder and begin filming his scenes next month (August).
It follows Jake talking about rumours linking him to the Channel 4 series last year.
"You know what I'm just so happy to get amazing opportunities handed to me," he said. "I used to work in McDonalds and now I'm doing an interview in my bed.
"If something like Hollyoaks came up I would jump on it, that's all I'll say."
Alongside Jake, Hollyoaks is set to welcome back Jamie Lomas and James Sutton to its cast having recently been named best soap at the British Soap Awards.
For the time being, Jake is currently appearing in the cast of Hair the Musical's UK tour.
Celebrating the show's 50th Anniversary, Hair will be touring the UK throughout 2019.
The award-winning rock musical has proved a hit across the world for five decades, sharing a tale of a hippie 'tribe' in New York fighting against authority and hoping to change the world.
Jake Quickenden stars as Berger with fellow X Factor finalist Marcus Collins as Hud, joined by Hollyoaks actress Daisy Wood-Davis as Sheila.
