Earlier this month, Simon Cowell dropped the bombshell news that he’s postponing the next regular series of his singing contest.

Instead, he intends to air not one but two spin-off editions later this year, including an ‘all-star’ version involving past contestants.

The other will be a revival of X Factor: Battle Of The Stars, featuring a string of famous faces.

Now Geordie Shore star Holly has become the first celeb to express a desire to take part.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she revealed that she previously teamed up with fellow cast members Charlotte and Sophie to record a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’.

While the track has not been released, she would be up for joining The X Factor – as long as the trio could take part together as a girl group.

“Me, Charlotte and Sophie can actually all sing,” she insisted. “We used to all sing together in the Geordie Shore house all the time and we sounded great.

“I could do celebrity X Factor with those two but I could never do it on my own.

“It would be fabulous TV. We are actually all really good.”

Holly previously tried going solo with a cover of ‘Milkshake’ by Kelis, which has attracted over 2million views on YouTube.

X Factor: Battle Of The Stars originally ran for one series in 2006. Simon subsequently branded it “pointless” and claimed he would “never do it again”.

However, he apparently changed his mind after actor and The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh achieved chart success.

His first album ‘Chasing Dreams’ became the fastest-selling debut record of 2016, beating One Direction star Zayn Malik.

ITV has yet to confirm plans for either of the two proposed X Factor spin-offs.
