Robbie Williams has been lined up to perform on The X Factor final.
The new star of the show is set to sing for viewers during the live stages later this year.
He told his followers on Instagram: “I see myself making an appearance onstage for the final."
And Robbie teased: "I’d love to duet with Cher.”
As well as a potential Robbie and Cher duet, there are also rumours that Robbie could sing with fellow new X Factor judge Louis Tomlinson after a promise made during the auditions.
A source told The Sun newspaper of the two new judges: “They’re already getting on great, ribbing each other a bit, but all in good humour.
“Robbie jibed he hadn’t been to an arena for years before this week’s auditions because he’s so used to playing stadiums, and asked Louis to remind him what it feels like — but they were laughing throughout.”
As well as Louis, Robbie is joined by wife Ayda Williams on The X Factor this year. The trio of new faces will sit on the panel alongside Simon Cowell.
On signing up for the series, Robbie said: "For nearly 30 years I’ve been touring. I’ve been wanting to branch out and The X Factor felt like the perfect vehicle. Ayda is my rock, she’s looked after me through thick and thin. I’m looking forward to getting started as a judge!”
Ayda added: “On a professional level I’ve auditioned for years so I know the highs and lows. I know what it takes to help people achieve their dreams. It’s all about the auditionees, it’s an organic process. The fact I get to work with Rob and against him is fantastic!”
Take That will be releasing a new greatest hits album later this year ahead of a 2019 tour celebrating their 30th anniversary.
A show source spilled: “The Take That boys have been very torn between singing on Strictly or X Factor, especially with Rob now being a judge on X Factor.
"Given Strictly’s huge ratings they decided they were a better fit to the BBC show. Rob will be gutted.”
Both The X Factor and Strictly will launch on TV next month (September).
