The Saturdays’ singer Frankie Bridge has put herself forward to judge The X Factor 2018.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant says she’d love to be a part of the ITV series.

It comes amid rumours that current judge Nicole Scherzinger will NOT be back this year.

The Sun reported last month that show boss Simon Cowell was set to axe the singer in another panel shake up.

An insider said: “Nicole was a passionate judge but has no contract and won’t be back this year in order to bring in fresh blood.”

Now Frankie has put herself forward for the open spot behind the judges’ desk.

“I’d love to do something like that, it would be so fun,” she told the tabloid.

Frankie added: “I think I’d be a bit like Cheryl, I’d probably do a lot of crying and it would be so hard to say no to people.”

But if Simon doesn’t call, Frankie is also lining up other options.

“I’ve just started doing some acting courses which is really fun,” the newest star of Disney on Ice revealed. “I’d like to do some more documentaries and maybe some soaps too – there’s plans in the works and I’m just getting going with it.”

The X Factor 2018 will air on ITV in the autumn.

It’s expected that Simon will be back alongside Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

Dermot O’Leary will be back to host the series, which will be the fifteenth to air on UK TV.
