Mother and daughter duo Descendance could be split up at bootcamp on The X Factor 2017.
Descendance are Hayley (20) and Debye (40), a mother and daughter singing pair from Belfast, Northern Ireland, originally from Canada.
After being mistaken for sisters at their audition they performed Macklemore's Can’t Hold Us but split the panel.
"Well, where do I begin?" asked Sharon Osbourne after the performance before delivering a killer blow that she felt mum Debye should take a back seat.
"You need to be there, but in a different aspect," she explained, "What you're doing now is odd."
But Debye hit back: "We don't think it's odd though. Honestly."
Hayley added: "I wouldn't do it with anyone else."
After making it through to bootcamp as a duo, the judges once again think they should split tonight.
This evening sees the contestants take on the first of two bootcamp challenges, the 'Wall of Songs'.
All of this year's successful auditionees race towards a wall containing 140 pieces of paper made up of 35 different songs.
Once the contestants pick their tracks, they meet up with the other three hopefuls with the same song to work on a group performance.
The four acts then sing for the judges who give an immediate yes or no to those they want to put through to the arena auditions.
Descendance end up paired with Ginny Lemon, Doctor Woof and Russell Jones with Dead Or Alive hit You Spin Me Round.
After singing, the judges are left rather unimpressed.
"That was hideous," declares Simon Cowell. "Honestly one of the worst things I've ever heard."
"They were so bad," adds Louis Walsh.
But despite those reviews, the judges still want to keep some acts and offer Descendance a lifeline.
"Hayley, we think you should stay in the competition alone," says Simon. "It's not going to work as a group... I don't want to do this. I don't want to cause a rift. Do you want to talk backstage guys?"
The pair then go off backstage before making their decision, which will be revealed tonight.
The X Factor 2017 airs Saturday night at 8PM on ITV and continues Sunday night at 7:30PM.
