X Factor meets Great British Bake Off as contestant bribes judges with cake

The X Factor meets the Great British Bake Off tonight as a contestant tries to impress the panel with a sweet treat.

51-year-old Peter Warwick from Northampton enters the audition room with a cake for Sharon Osbourne.

“For you my dear,” he says, “I think Sharon is fabulous darling! I love her!”

After tucking in, Sharon delivers her verdict: “This is fantastic!”

But will Peter’s performance of Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass impress just as much?

“I loved the song,” says Louis Walsh, “But I got no cake!”

Sharon praises: “Peter that was just so entertaining.”

Will Peter get the three or more yeses he needs to get through to bootcamp?

More hopefuls tonight include Spencer Sutherland, a 24-year-old singer from Ohio, USA who is out of his home country for the first time for The X Factor, and model Brad Howard who catches the eye of Nicole Scherzinger as he steps into the audition room.

We also meet Montenegro’s former Eurovision entry Slavko and runner up of The Voice of the Philippines’ Alisah Bonaobra, who has flown in from Manila, Philippines.

The X Factor 2017 airs tonight at 8PM on ITV.
