28-year old plasterer Matt Linnen was all by himself as he faced the Judges, telling them he's "riding solo".

And he didn't need anyone else as his version of Ray LaMontagne’s Trouble earned him a place at Boot Camp.

"I've been involved with music and with various bands I've been in, I feel like now is the time to come on the show and show you guys what I got," said Matt.

Matt then grabbed his guitar to perform his version of Ray LaMontagne’s Trouble.

With four yeses from the judges, Matt's through to the next round.

But can he go further in the competition? We'll have to wait and see but for now you can relive his audition above.

The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.

This year's auditions are now almost over and the competition is heating up.

Grace Davies is one of the favourites after six audition shows, having originally wowed the judges in the first week with her self-penned song Roots.

However she faces stiff competition from brothers Sean and Conor Price who impressed the panel last weekend with a cover of Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower.

Aoife Heffron from bookies BoyleSports said: “Sean and Conor Price have incredibly amassed over one million views for their audition video on YouTube so it comes as no surprise that their odds have already been cut from the 5/1 second favourites to the joint 4/1 favourites alongside Grace Davies.”

She added: “Punters just can’t get enough of the lads and have been backing them off the boards since Monday. We’ve had bets rolling in as big as €100 on Sean and Conor Price as keen punters snap up their current 4/1 price, which may not be around for long!”
