The X Factor boy band rose to fame on The X Factor in 2008 where they finished runners up to Alexandra Burke.

The group – made up of Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill – went on to release five albums and enjoyed 5 number one singles.

Despite the success, the boys split up in 2013 and each went their separate ways.

Now there are rumours of a comeback with JB revealing tentative plans to reunite the group by next year.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, JB said: “We’ve always said it’s on the cards, we’re very good friends and we support each other in everything we do.

“I think 2018 is a good date to aim for, maybe!

“But it has to happen at the right time in our lifestyles because you have to give so much to it. If we’re going to do it we’ve got to do it properly.”

After splitting, JLS’ members have gone on to do all sorts from solo music to TV presenting and radio hosting.

Most recently, Aston has joined the new series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside JLS’ former X Factor rival Alexandra.

He said: “I’m so happy to be joining Strictly 2017, it is such a brilliant show and I’ve followed it for years. I’m both nervous and excited to learn from the professionals about a whole new way of dancing!”

In 2013, Aston became a judge on British talent show Got To Dance for Sky 1 and is now performing as a solo artist. His debut solo record Get Stupid received huge international success gaining platinum accreditation.

Strictly begins on BBC One this Saturday night while the new series of X Factor continues on ITV.
