Daniel Quick is one to watch on The X Factor 2017 after tonight's auditions.
Daniel Quick is a 18-year-old student and supermarket worker from Bristol. He works at Iceland where everyone wants him to sing.
Appearing at the latest round of auditions, Daniel was supported by his family including his biggest fan, his mum.
But his pets - four dogs, a tortoise called Shelley, a ferret, a cockatiel and fifteen fish - were fortunately left safe at home.
"I've always loved doing singing and I just want to carry on doing it," Daniel told the judges. "I'd rather not work in a retail job for the rest of my life."
However, Daniel admitted to having never had any vocal training or experience singing in front of a big audience.
Facing Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and guest judge Alesha Dixon at the auditions, Daniel performed Ellie Goulding's version of Elton John's Your Song.
"You do have a great voice," said Alesha, "I think there is room for improvement for your vocal arrangement, that will come with experience."
Simon meanwhile compared Daniel to his pet tortoise Shelley - but in a good way.
With four yeses, Daniel made the next round and will perform at bootcamp later this year.
Other acts on tonight's show included Bukky Shittu who got flirty with Simon and Harrison Styles whose name required a double take.
We also met a number of contestants who have flown in from afar: There's boyband trio JBK from the Philippines, Elysa from Australia and Deanna from Anguilla, a British colony in the Caribbean.
The X Factor 2017 continues Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
