An X Factor contestant's nan sat alongside Simon Cowell on the judging panel tonight.
The X Factor 2017 auditions continued this Sunday evening after last night's opening episode.
As ever, acts will be singing for judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh in the hope of getting the yeses they need to progress through to bootcamp later this year.
This evening's episode saw auditions continue across the north in Manchester and Edinburgh.
Joining the panel in both locations was guest judge Alesha Dixon, standing in first for Nicole and later Sharon.
One of the acts singing for the special sub was 23-year-old student Lloyd Macey from The Valleys, South Wales.
He brought his whole family along and told cameras: "My nan is my biggest fan. She'll take business cards everywhere and give them out, saying 'You've got to book him'"
Lloyd's nan was not only excited for her grandson's audition but also to meet Simon, bringing him a special treat: "I've heard Simon loves his fish finger sandwiches."
Dermot O'Leary quipped as Lloyd and his nan entered the judges' room: "They're going to think this is the weirdest double act of all time."
"I love it when nans come along," Alesha Dixon reacted.
Christine's nan then sat alongside Simon Cowell on the panel as he joked sitting between her and Alesha: "In case anyone's tuning in, this isn't Britain's Got Talent."
"Amanda Holden's going to kill you!" Alesha laughed.
Lloyd eventually got around to, you know, actually singing at his audition.
Performing Lay Me Down by Sam Smith, his nan was not too surprisingly impressed.
"I think he's fantastic," she told Simon.
"This is going well so far," Simon replied.
"This is a dream, I can't believe it's happening," Lloyd's nan added.
Turning to Lloyd, Simon said: "You do have a really great voice, that Welsh voice that people love."
With five yeses from his nan and the judges, Lloyd made the next round.
Other acts in tonight's show were Jordan Rabjohn who sings original song Mexico and teenager Shanaya Atkinson-Jones who gives an emotional performance as she leaves the judges in tears with a cover of A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera's Say Something.
The X Factor 2017 airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
