X Factor's Emily Middlemas will release her first track in August, she has announced.
The talented performer from Scotland made it to the semi-finals of last year's competition.
Following the live tour earlier this year, Emily's been hard at work in the studio on her music and will put her first track out next month.
Called Lost and Found, Emily said of the song: “We’ve been doing so much in the studio and I’m really excited about it.
“It’ll be the first one that I’ve put out there so I can’t wait. It’s different from what people might expect after seeing me on X Factor."
She added to The Scottish Sun newspaper: “It’s more me and more current and kind of poppy.”
Emily went on to praise Simon Cowell following her time on the show in 2016.
“Honestly he is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, he’s so lovely and humble and down to earth," she said. “When you’re on the show he really does want to help you, he doesn’t mind what you do as long as you’re happy with it and as long as you’re okay and eating well.
“His first questions whenever we’d meet were ‘how are you?’ and ‘have you been eating okay?’ and just making sure I was coping.
“It does get really intense and you genuinely just forget to eat or do something because you’re just so busy. He was always there to make [sure] I was okay and genuinely cared about me."
Emily is the latest of last year's X Factor acts to release a single following 5 After Midnight's Up In Here and Sam Lavery's Walk Away.
The X Factor winner Matt Terry and runner up Saara Aalto are also set to have new music out by the end of the year.
