X Factor's Honey G has blamed Simon Cowell's Syco record label for her flop debut single.
Honey G's song 'The Honey G Show' was an epic flop in the charts, making it to just Number 149 in the official countdown.
However Honey G feels it wasn't the song that was to blame.
"I don’t think The Honey G Show was given the promotion it actually deserved – it was Christmas time, a lot of people went home for Christmas," she said this week.
Honey G told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t feel Syco put the work in they should’ve done to promote the record.
“I don’t think they invested enough in promoting The Honey G Show.
“It was just a shame it worked out like that. I’d like to make sure that doesn’t happen again and make sure I know how things are being promoted.”
Honey G has since parted ways from Simon to instead set up her own record label for called H to the O Music which will release her new single Hit You With The Honey G.
She told The Sun: “My new single, Hit you with the Honey G was produced, arranged and composed by me and was mixed and mastered by Grammy Award Winner Liam Nolan from Metropolis Studios.
“All the samples were generated and sequenced by me and I recorded and produced the guitar in the chorus. In the song my lyrics are about my life and my experiences.”
She added: “I’m at a point in my life where idols are becoming rivals."
