X Factor winner James Arthur is working on his third album.
The 2012 champion enjoyed an epic comeback last year with his second record, scoring a number one single single and album.
Now re-signed to Simon Cowell's Syco record label, James has revealed his future release will be more happier.
"The new album will be more positive," James explained this weekend. "The last album is something that I had to do as I was in a dark space and I had to talk about where I went.
"It was a hopeful album still but moving forward it will be more uplifting music."I am happy now so I want to talk about being happy."
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, James also discussed bouncing back after originally being dropped by Simon after just one album in 2013.
"I was wasting too much energy and time worrying about what people want in the past but now I am going to continue to do what feels right," he said. "Thinking like that takes the pressure off."
James insisted he had no regrets about what went down in the years following his X Factor win, saying: "The path that I've taken is the path that I was supposed to take.
"Everything happens for a reason. I visualised being successful in music and I managed to hold it in my hands."
