One Direction star Harry Styles has revealed his debut solo single which will be out next Friday.
The X Factor star took to Twitter to announce his song Sign of the Times will be out on April 7.
“His record label Sony are seriously excited about his music and have made his solo career a top priority," a source told The Sun newspaper. “There is bound to be mayhem among 1D fans when his song is finally released next week.”
The insider added: “The launch is still a full week away but the Harry hype is already starting to build."
Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer is quoted by the newspaper: “We have a record we’re incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready.
“We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he’s here to stay.
“Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who’s authentic.”
The news follows a cryptic teaser which aired during an ad break on The Voice UK last weekend.
The 30 second spot saw Harry walking through a dark room before opening a doorway to reveal a bright light.
We then see Harry as he looks to the camera before the ad fades to black to reveal the release date of Friday, April 7.
The video clip followed Harry blanking out his major social media profiles in a move that had got fans talking.
After airing, #HS1isComing began to trend on Twitter as Directioners got excited for the release.
However for some it seems as though the ad may have been a bit too cryptic.
