X Factor duo Reggie n Bollie have been dropped by Simon Cowell's Syco record label.
The duo were runners up to Louisa Johnson on the show in 2015 having been mentored by Cheryl.
The pair released debut single New Girl last year which charted at Number 26 on the charts while follow up track Link Up failed to make the Top 40.
It's now been confirmed they've parted ways from the music label.
“Reggie N Bollie were huge hits on the show which is why they reached the final and very nearly won," a source told The Sun newspaper. “But after they left the show, excitement for them dwindled and they struggled to turn their support into record sales."
The insider explained: “They have worked really hard for the last year but their relationship with Syco didn’t work out and they wanted different things.
“Their music was very poppy and chart-focused but now they want to focus on a different style.
“It isn’t the end for them though as they plan on continuing to make music as a duo.”
A spokesperson for Syco confirmed the news in a short statement, saying: “Reggie ’N’ Bollie are no longer working with us. We wish the guys the best of luck for the future.”
Meanwhile, Reggie n Bollie appeared to celebrate getting dropped with a message on Twitter.
They wrote online: “WE'RE FINALLY INDEPENDENT N IT FEELS F#CKING RIGHT. #WeCallOurOwnShots #HappyNewMonth2Uall”
