Jamie took part in Simon Cowell’s ITV show in 2016 but was never seen on TV.
Now he’s on The Voice UK and through to the battle rounds after an impressive first blind audition.
Jamie performed Let It Go for the coaches and got both Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson to spin for him, choosing to join Team Jennifer.
Jamie said: “I really respect Gavin for turning, but I always wanted to go with Jennifer. I’ve followed her journey since American Idol.
“She’s really hands on and she cares about me as an artist. It’s so nice that someone with Jennifer's success believes in you, its put my confidence up. “
Speaking about his past attempt on The X Factor, Jamie said this past week: “I tried out for The X Factor last year and I didn’t get on TV, so being on The Voice now is amazing.
“Maybe I just wasn’t what they were looking for. But I didn’t give up, everything happens for a reason.”
And he concluded: “I’m not in this for the fame, I’m in it for the love of music.”
The Voice UK 2017 blind auditions continue this Saturday night on ITV.
