X Factor's Matt Terry has been celebrating the best Christmas ever after winning the show.
Matt triumphed in the X Factor 2016 final earlier this month and released his debut single When Christmas Comes Around straight after.
The Ed Sheeran penned track couldn't quite make it to the top spot, debuting at Number 3, and missed out on the weekend's Christmas Number 1.
But with a record deal with RCA Records under his belt and a debut album lined up for next year, Matt doesn't seem to mind.
“I think my Christmas present has already been given to me,” he said this week.
Although his friends and family aren't so lucky.
“I haven’t had time so they’ve all got coal!” Matt joked to Closer magzine. “But hopefully I’ll find a minute to get them something because they’ve supported me the whole way. It’ll be last-minute running around!”
Speaking to the publication after his victory, Matt reveals plans to enjoy a quiet Christmas after the hectic X Factor live shows.
"We take the dogs for a walk, have breakfast and then spend the day watching films together," Matt said. "Then we have Christmas dinner, play games and have a few drinks.”
He laughed: "My mum and dad both cook together, and me and my brothers just kind of sit around the table with a knife and fork in our hands waiting!”
As for next weekend's New Years celebrations, Matt added: “I’m normally in on New Year with my family but I think this year I might do a gig or something."
Matt's winner's single When Christmas Comes Around is out now.
