Will X Factor's Honey G be a hit or a flop in the charts with her song?

Honey G is on course to debut in the Top 10 with her brand new single this week.

The X Factor legend is currently at Number 8 in the iTunes download charts with 'The Honey G Show' after a day on sale, just behind fellow X Factor stars Louis Tomlinson and this year's winner Matt Terry.

The first official chart update won't be until Monday and streaming is likely to change the positions around a bit, but it's a good start for Honey G.

Winner Matt debuted at Number 3 last weekend before dropping to Number 8 this week in the Christmas Number 1 race.

Right now, Honey G just has a single deal with Simon Cowell's record label and the success (or not) of her songs will decide if an album follows.

Honey G revealed yesterday: "Believe it or not, one of the Syco producers has already written a second single and wants to release it in the New Year which is amazing.

"I have the backing of Syco and hopefully this will help in my next step in negotiating a record deal with them."

The former IT recruitment manager turned the UK's next Genuine Urban Artist told DigitalSpy: "What I want to do is negotiate a deal. We want to make it happen.

"I don't think there is a specific timescale - I think they are allowed to make two singles with me, and then if they make a third, they have to make an album."

We'll have the first official chart update on Monday while Honey G's song will officially went the charts next Friday night.
