Ryan Lawrie has denied he and Emily Middlemas are engaged following The X Factor.
Rumours circulated that Ryan may have popped the question to girlfriend Emily after a cryptic tweet.
“OH MY GOD @RyanLawrie_ HAS GAVE ME THE BEST SURPRISE IN THE WORLD I AM THE LUCKIEST GIRL EVER. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!.” she tweeted fans.
Emily added: "This is going to be the best Christmas and new year ever. Wow."
And while Emily never did reveal just what Ryan had given her, he says it wasn't en engagement ring.
Ryan told The Sun newspaper: “It’s not true! That’s false information.”
That said - according to Emily - the X Factor lovebirds will eventually marry.
She said following her exit from the show at the semi-finals: "Yeah, we are so strong and we have bonded and just got stronger over the past four years.
“He knows me inside out and he’s the only person that really knows every single thing about me and I know every single thing about him, so we’re super strong and I really don’t see anything happening or anything breaking us up.”
And Emily said that X Factor boss and mentor Simon Cowell would be sure to get an invite to any wedding.
“He was really supportive of me and Ryan and said to me that he thinks Ryan is a really nice boy," said Emily. “He said, ‘You guys are really sweet, you guys are a good couple and really suit each other.’
“It was really nice of him to say that and for his approval as well.”
Emily and Ryan, who were dating before they both audition for the show, will head out on tour together in the Spring along with Matt Terry, Saara Aalto, 5 After Midnight, Honey G, Sam Lavery and 4 Of Diamonds.
