X Factor's Saara Aalto mobbed by fans in Finland as she 'sign big record deal'

X Factor's Saara Aalto returned to Finland today and was quickly mobbed by fans.

The singer previously returned to her home country in the run up to last weekend's final where 10,000 people came to watch her perform.

The X Factor 2016 runner up is said to have flown back home not only for Christmas but also to sign a record deal.

"So many people!! FINLAND 💕" Saara tweeted alongside pictures of huge crowds.

Saara's apparently agreed a joint deal with Simon Cowell's Syco here in the UK and Sony Music in Finland.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, the news will be officially announced later today (Tuesday) so watch this space.

Speaking last week, Saara revealed plans to move to the UK full time in the new year, amid the record deal rumours.

"It’s all been such a huge surprise – I never expected to make it so far!" she raved following the final. "I was supposed to have some concerts in Finland the other week, but I had to cancel everything as I was still here.

"People were very understanding, though, and wanted me in the competition."

Saara told Now magazine: "I’ve embraced a different culture now and, whatever happens, London, I’m here to stay! I’ve met so many great people who are going to be my friends always. This is just the beginning of the rest of my life."

As well as the supposed record deal, Saara will be back performing in the UK in February for the X Factor live tour.

She'll be joined by winner Matt Terry and fellow live show finalists 5 After Midnight, Emily Middlemas, Honey G, Ryan Lawrie, Samantha Lavery and Four Of Diamonds.
