Saara Aalto has posted an adorable message to her fans following The X Factor 2016 final.
Saara lost out to Matt Terry in this year's X Factor final on Sunday night after a shockingly close weekend of voting.
Just 4% split the final three on Saturday evening at the vote freeze when 5 After Midnight left in third place, and at the time Saara was in the lead.
But Matt was out on top come Sunday night and has already released his debut winner's single, When Christmas Comes Around.
Despite losing, Saara has showed no signs of upset and tweeted this week: "I couldn't be happier today! This is all perfect 😍 my dreams came true because you accepted me😭❤️ Love you so much, this is the beginning!"
The wacky performer then posted in a video online: "People, thank you so much for this X Factor journey I've been on with you guys.
"I know so, so many people have been voting for me and I am forever grateful I came this far. I never thought I'd make it and I made it, I was in the final on Sunday, I almost won, that's the best feeling ever.
"I feel like a winner, I am a winner and it's because of you the love and support I got from you, thank you so much."
Saara went on to congratulate winner Matt, saying: "He's such a sweetheart, he deserves this so much. This is the beginning for both of us, new adventures coming.
"So thank you people, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'll keep working hard for you!"
The future looks bright for Saara with the singer reportedly in talks for a record deal already.
