Sharon Osbourne is set to return to The X Factor for another series in 2017.
Show boss Simon Cowell has said he hoped to keep this year's judges the same for next year but Sharon last week suggested she may be forced to quit.
“I would love to come back but I’m in a difficult position,” Sharon said last week.
Speaking ahead of the final Sharon revealed: “I’m signed to CBS [in America] and I’ve been with them for seven years with amazing women on The Talk and it’s up to Simon to see if they’ll let me do it.
“My whole life is travel so if I hadn’t been here I would’ve been in South America with Ozzy so the travelling doesn’t bother me it’s that I had to keep going back each week for the show.”
However an insider says that Sharon is now set to agree a comeback, even if it doesn't leave her bosses over the other side of the Atlantic happy.
"Sharon has really enjoyed the show this year and is desperate to go back," an insider told The Sun newspaper. “The panel worked well and she knows Simon would love to have the same line-up again.
“The wheels are in motion for her to return next year.”
Meanwhile, Louis Walsh has already declared he WILL be back on The X Factor for at least the next two years.
The Irish music mogul has announced he'll be sticking firmly in his seat after leaving it for the first time ever last year.
Louis said: "Yes, I'm back next year. I've signed for the next two years."
Nicole Scherzinger has been more coy, saying: "I can't confirm that I'm going to (be back) but I think if I did return it would have to be with this panel because I'm really close with this panel.
If we do get the same judges on The X Factor next year it'll be the first time since 2010 that they've stayed the same for two series in a row.
The X Factor airs on ITV.
