Louis Tomlinson has taken an early lead in the race for Number 1 against Matt Terry this week.
It was Matt who won The X Factor on Sunday night, beating Saara Aalto to the title in a tense result.
This year the X Factor's winner's single is an original track called 'When Christmas Comes Around', written by Ed Sheeran and Welsh songwriter Amy Wadge.
The pair previously teamed up on Ed's huge Number 1 hit Thinking Out Loud and give X Factor only its second original winner's song in 13 series.
The song was released for download and to stream on Sunday but for the first time in X Factor history there is no physical release.
So far the track has reached number 5 in the charts, according to the latest Official Charts Company data.
Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson is at Number 2 and currently 4,000 sales ahead of Matt.
Ex One Direction star Louis unveiled his debut solo single Just Hold On During The X Factor live final on Saturday night.
Also appearing on The X Factor live final at the weekend were Clean Bandit who are currently Number 1, with a lead of 7,500 ahead of Louis.
Both Louis and Matt are at a bit of a disadvantage this week due to the chart week now running from Friday to Friday, meaning Matt and Louis missed out on two and three days worth of sales respectively with their new releases.
However it's likely that both will still be able to reach to Number 1 and 2 by Friday night, it's just a question of in what order?
