The X Factor 2016 winner's song will be revealed this weekend but just what will it? be
The name of this year's song has yet to be officially announced and that's possibly because it may well be an original track.
Rumour has it that Ed Sheeran has penned an "acoustic ballad" to be used, although it's though not all the finalists have recorded it.
"Everything Ed does turns to gold," a source said last month. "To have him write the winner’s song is huge and amazing news for this year’s winner.
"All the remaining contestants have heard the track and it works for the majority. They can’t believe potentially their first ever single will be written by Ed."
It's been claimed that 5 After Midnight may have an alternative, more uptempo winner's single.
As always, only the top TWO acts will perform their potential winner's songs, belting out their versions on Sunday night's live show.
The third place finisher and their song will never be heard, alongside Emily Midlemas and Honey G who also both recorded winner's singles.
If we do get an original track it would be just the second time in X Factor history, since Shayne Ward's That's My Goal in 2005.
Meanwhile it's been announced that proceeds from the winner's single will be going to charities Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase.
It's the fifth time the X Factor's winners single will support good causes and Simon Cowell said: "Once again, I am thrilled that the proceeds from The X Factor 2016 charity single will be going to Shooting Star Chase and Together for Short Lives.
“The main reason for doing this is that these charities help families and kids through incredibly difficult times.
“As always, we hugely appreciate the incredible support from the public.”
The X Factor 2016 final airs Saturday and Sunday night at 8PM on ITV.
