Matt Terry has reportedly been 'snubbed' by James Arthur ahead of The X Factor 2016 final.
Earlier this week it was claimed that James would be singing with Matt at the weekend, having originally being lined up to perform with Emily Middlemas who left on Sunday night.
But The Sun newspaper reports now that James has "turned down the opportunity".
It's the second blow to Matt ahead of the final after Sam Smith also reportedly pulled out of a duet with him.
According to the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper, the duo were lined up to sing James Bond theme Writing’s On The Wall together, a song Matt previously performed on the show on his own.
“Sam loved his version so it seemed the perfect plan to put them together," a source said at the weekend. "There’s still a slim chance but it doesn’t look like it will happen now.”
Its left Matt relying on mentor Nicole Scherzinger as a duet partner in Saturday night's final.
Meanwhile, it's been revealed that 5 After Midnight had been lined up to sing alongside so-called Spice Girls GEM, made up of Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel B.
According to The Sun newspaper, the girls and guys were set to team up on Say You’ll Be There, which 5 After Midnight previously performed in the live shows.
However the plans supposedly fell through at the last minute, leaving show bosses in need of a replacement.
Now 5 After Midnight may sing with X Factor reigning winner Louisa Johnson and group Clean Bandit on their hit Tears.
The X Factor 2016 final airs this weekend live on ITV from 8PM on Saturday and Sunday from Wembley Arena.
As well as the duets, there will be confirmed guest performances from Little Mix and Kylie!
