5 After Midnight make their X Factor homecoming in Leicester

5 After Midnight made their X Factor homecoming in Leicester last night.

The trio performed for a huge crowd at the Leicester Athena in Kieran's hometown.

Fans queued up all day for free wristbands to the event in the evening, as the boy band walked the red carpet before performing for fans inside the venue.

Mentor Louis Walsh joined the guys as they belted out songs from the live shows for fans, friends and family, with performances including Get Ready.

"Today has been sooo immense! thank you all for coming out to support us!!" the group tweeted after the event as they posed alongside their battle bus.

Kieran's older brother, Dervan, was at the event and told local newspaper the Leicester Mercury of the latest live show: "I was a nervous wreck.

"I wanted for them to get to the final so badly and now they've done it it's brilliant.

"Now I think they can really enjoy the rest of the competition knowing they're finalists.

"What will be will be."

In the final this weekend 5 After Midnight are rumoured to be performing alongside The Weeknd in a bid to win the show.

However the boy band faces competition from Saara Aalto and Matt Terry who will be hoping to beat them to the title.

The X Factor 2016 final airs this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV at 8PM.
