Emily Middlemas has taken aim at Simon Cowell's song choices for her on The X Factor 2016.
It was Emily who left The X Factor this week, just missing out on a spot in the grand final at Wembley Arena.
Emily was in the bottom two sing off against Matt Terry, the first time for both in the danger zone.
But her place in the final slipped away as the judges backed Matt to join Saara Aalto and 5 After Midnight at Wembley next weekend.
During her time, Emily became known for performing slow ballads despite repeatedly saying she wanted to sing a wider range of songs.
Now, following her exit, Emily has revealed how she begged mentor Simon to allow her to sing different tracks but he didn't agree.
"Before the show, that was me. I was more quirky, upbeat and more fun, I guess. I don’t really know what happened," Emily said yesterday.
She told the Metro newspaper: "Every single week I’d try and get my voice heard. And I always said 'I really wanna do something upbeat. I wanna do this! I wanna dance around the stage.
"I wanted to show the younger audience that I’m young, that this is me, that there is another side to me. But yeah, Simon just wasn’t all for it, really. He didn’t 'see' any of the things I suggested."
Emily revealed to the paper that she had wanted to sing Ellie Goulding's Anything Could Happen - the song that wowed the judges at the Six Chair Challenge in 2014 - as well as Lush Life by Zara Larsson.
However despite her songs not being quite what she wanted, Emily insisted of her time on the show: "I did enjoy it, I did enjoy it. I’m not gonna lie and say I hated it."
With Emily out just three acts remain in the X Factor 2016 and the race to the final is on.
It's shaping up to be the closest run EVER with all three having both been top of the vote and in the sing off.
The X Factor is back next Saturday and Sunday on ITV from 8PM.
