X Factor 2016 winner's single: Final four acts have recorded their songs

What is this year's X Factor's winner's song?

Each of the remaining X Factor 2016 semi-finalists have produced their potential winner's single.

The choice of this year's song has yet to be officially revealed and it's expected we may have a couple of different songs.

Rumour has it that Ed Sheeran has penned an original "acoustic ballad" to be used however not all of the finalists have recorded the track.

"Everything Ed does turns to gold," a source said last month. "To have him write the winner’s song is huge and amazing news for this year’s winner.

"All the remaining contestants have heard the track and it works for the majority. They can’t believe potentially their first ever single will be written by Ed."

It's been claimed that 5 After Midnight may have an alternative, more uptempo winner's single.

The trio previously teased on the Xtra Factor that the song they had recorded was very much winter themed and included references to Christmas.

If we do get an original track it would be just the second time in X Factor history, since Shayne Ward's That's My Goal in 2005.

Only the final two acts will get to perform their potential winner's singles during the final next Sunday night on ITV.

The winner will then release their version for download immediately with profits going to charities Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase.

It's the fifth time the X Factor's winners single will support good causes and Simon said: "Once again, I am thrilled that the proceeds from The X Factor 2016 charity single will be going to Shooting Star Chase and Together for Short Lives.

“The main reason for doing this is that these charities help families and kids through incredibly difficult times.

“As always, we hugely appreciate the incredible support from the public.”

For now, The X Factor is back tonight at 8PM with the live semi-final.
