Emily Middlemas got a rough review from The X Factor 2016 judges tonight for her latest performance.
Last week the jukebox picked out a Christmas theme for this week's semi-finals.
Emily performed another slow track, choosing John Lennon's War is Over.
Mentor Simon Cowell said it was his favourite Christmas track and while he loved the performance, the other judges weren't impressed.
Louis Walsh complained: "You do the same thing every week, it's nice but I wanted to hear a little bit more because we're in the semi finals."
Nicole Scherzinger agreed.
She told Emily: "I love the Christmas song however I felt like something was missing for me, at this point I felt like someone turned on the Christmas lights and they weren't shining as bright.
"I thought it was a bit lackluster, That was nice but the finals are next week, we need more than nice."
Simon defended Emily: "Thank God the audience vote for this competition and not us, because that was beautiful. It was sincere."
"It was a little bit safe," added Louis.
Simon then told Emily: "Ignore this because this is an important night for you, don't listen to the muppets and just carry on singing."
