Who left The X Factor 2016? Latest results recap as another act is voted off

Last night's X Factor results from the weekend

Who left The X Factor 2016 last night? Here's a recap of the latest elimination results as another went home?

It was Quarter Finals week on the show at the X Factor last weekend as the remaining six contestants performed live once more this year.

Those left in the contest going into the weekend were Nicole Scherzinger's last Boy - Matt Terry, Simon Cowell's lone Girl - Emily Middlemas, Sharon Osbourne's Overs - Honey G and Saara Aalto, and finally Louis Walsh last remaining Group - 5 After Midnight.

The judges had plenty to say on each of the latest performances but it was viewer votes alone that determined the bottom two yesterday (Sunday) evening.

Who left The X Factor last night?

At the end of last night's results show, it was Honey G who was voted off and went home.

In Sunday evening's results show on ITV, Dermot O'Leary announced that Honey G and 5 After Midnight were bottom of the phone and app vote and therefore in the sing off.

According to Dermot, just 1% split those in the bottom three so it was a close result.

It was the first time for 5 After Midnight in the sing off but the second time in as many weeks for Honey G.

In the sing off, Honey G performed 2Pac's California Love before 5 After Midnight sung Labrinth's Beneath Your Beautiful.

It was then over to the judges to decide who to keep...

Weekend's X Factor 2016 results

To no surprise, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh each backed their own acts, sending home 5 After Midnight and Honey G respectively.

Nicole Scherzinger said: "Honey G, you put the fun in phenomenal, you've earned my respect, you're a fighter and a hard worker but I'm sorry the act I'm sending home is Honey G."

With the casting vote, Simon Cowell said: "I have to do what I think the public would expect me to do in this position. The act I'm sending home is Honey G."

Therefore, with three votes to one to leave, Honey G left The X Factor.

Elsewhere in last night's results there were performances from Clean Bandit and Busted, while the final five performed Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the Semi Finals next week will see a 'Christmas' theme with two songs performed by each act.
