Simon Cowell has said the X Factor 2016 judges will all be back next year.
Assuming the want to return of course.
Speaking last weekend, Nicole Scherzinger declared her intentions of wanting to stay around for at least one more series, explaining: “At the start of this year, I didn’t know what I’d be doing but you’ve got to be open in this business. Maybe I’d be open to coming back to X Factor.
“We’ll see how hard Simon tries to persuade me!”
Well Simon didn't have to try that hard, it seems.
"If they want to come back, and everyone may not want to, then everyone can come back," Simon said on the Xtra Factor last night to cheers from Nicole, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
Xtra Factor host Rylan Clark-Neal then teased: "Did you say everyone?"
"I don't make the decisions by the way," Simon then added.
But he continued: "I would like everyone to comeback if they will."
With all the judges - and Rylan and Matt Edmondson - showing their approval of returning, Simon declared: "Okay, done, we're all coming back."
Of course whether or not the four piece will actually still be together come next year remains to be seen, what with three weeks still to go of this year's series yet.
However if the panel does remain unchanged it would be the first time in six years, since Simon and Louis were with Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue between 2008 and 2011.
The X Factor continues tonight at 8PM on ITV.
