X Factor's Louis Walsh set to open 'Louis Loves' week with his own dance routine

Louis Walsh is set to open The X Factor 2016 tonight with his own dance routine.

Move over, Dermot O'Leary...

Tonight is the X Factor live Quarter Finals and Louis will reportedly take to the stage at the top of the show for a special performance.

While Ed Balls performs the Cha Cha on BBC One, Louis will be doing an Irish jig over on ITV.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s a great stunt for X Factor to have a go at copying Strictly.

“Louis has actually been offered the chance to go on Strictly in the past but has always turned them down.”

The reason for the special routine is of course tonight's theme: Louis Loves.

He has chosen a song for each of the remaining contestants with choices that include tracks by Abba, Britney Spears and Little Mix.

But this evening will see the top five acts singing TWICE for the first time this year.

After their Louis' Loves selection, they'll return to the stage with one of their own song choices.

Sunday evening will also see the Jukebox wheeled out again to decide next weekend's theme with 80s and Christmas still in play!
