The rapper has so far not appeared in the sing off which has caused some controversy, but Simon says it's all down to the public.
In a chat with the Metro newspaper, Simon said: “Whatever the public go with you have to accept.”
He suggested: “This is down to the public. I don’t think we’re in a situation – which has happened before – where there is a campaign to p**s me off.
"I think she has got more popular. She hasn’t been in the bottom yet."
And Simon added: "She believes she’s going to win.”
Of course if Honey G does win, it'll mean Simon making an album with her.
“That’s the deal isn’t it? Let’s start with the singles, okay…whether she wins or not," he told the tabloid.
It was claimed today that Honey G may have a special winner's single lined up should she triumph in the final next month.
The Sun reports that an original track by Ed Sheeran - described as an "acoustic ballad" - would fit most of the other acts.
But Honey G - as well as 5 After Midnight - might get a different song should they win.
An insider said that "bosses might need to consider another one of their options" for the more upbeat acts.
For now, The X Factor continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV with Movies weekend.
