X Factor 2016 voting stats reveal the competition is wide open

X Factor 2016 voting figures teased

The X Factor has revealed some VERY interesting voting stats in tonight's live show.

And they suggested that the competition is wide open.

It was Disco week on the show last night as the remaining seven contestants performed live again this year.

Those left in the contest going into the weekend were Nicole Scherzinger's Boys - Matt Terry and Ryan Lawrie, Simon Cowell's Girls - Emily Middlemas and Samantha Lavery, Sharon Osbourne's Overs - Honey G and Saara Aalto, and finally Louis Walsh's last Group - 5 After Midnight.

X Factor 2016 voting figures teased

In this evening's live show on ITV, Dermot O'Leary announced the two of acts in the danger zone.

There was no bottom three this week or life line vote as the competition passed the half way mark.

But before revealing the results, Dermot teased that just 3% split those in the bottom 3 places after more than 2 million votes had been cast.

Dermot also announced that the acts at Number 1 and Number 2 in the vote had switched places multiple times over the past 24 hours.

And furthermore, it was the first time that those acts had been at the top of the vote.

It suggests that this year's competition isn't seeing one act walk the vote each week which has been the case in some past years.
