Samantha Lavery and Ryan Lawrie were in the bottom two on The X Factor 2016 results tonight.
It was Disco week on the show last night as the remaining seven contestants performed live again this year.
Those left in the contest going into this weekend were Nicole Scherzinger's Boys - Matt Terry and Ryan Lawrie, Simon Cowell's Girls - Emily Middlemas and Samantha Lavery, Sharon Osbourne's Overs - Honey G and Saara Aalto, and finally Louis Walsh's last Group - 5 After Midnight.
The judges had plenty to say on each of the latest performances but as ever it was viewer votes alone that determined the bottom TWO this evening.
Lines opened yesterday ahead of the songs and closed in tonight's results show.
Tonight's X Factor 2016 results
In this evening's live show on ITV, Dermot O'Leary announced the two acts in the danger zone.
There was no bottom three or life line vote this week as the competition passed the half way mark.
Before revealing the results, Dermot teased that just 3% split those in the bottom 3 places after 2 million votes over the weekend.
The unlucky pair in the bottom two (in no particular order) were Samantha Lavery and Ryan Lawrie.
They went forward to the sing off where one of the pair went home after the judges' voted.
The panel were split meaning it went to deadlock where, with the fewest votes from the public, Sam went home.
