Following Trump's surprise win the American election last week, many have been tipping Honey G to do much the same on The X Factor.
And she said: “Obviously, they’re associating me with the global leader type.
“To be associated with Trump and [Ed] Balls, the amount of tweets I saw with me and Trump in it yesterday, I thought, ‘What is the world coming to?’”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Honey continued: “The thing is, I think the whole X Factor game needs to be switched up.
“They have been waiting for someone to come in and switch it up for ages.”
Six contestants remain in X Factor after Samantha Laery became the latest contestant to get the boot on Sunday night.
And there's been a surge of support for Honey G to go all the way and WIN the series.
Having been as big as 100/1 when the show started, rapper Honey G is now 9/2 to cause a shock and triumph over the rest of the acts.
Emily Middlemas has seen her odds drift out to 5/1 from 5/2 to win with Saara Aalto and Ryan Lawrie the outsiders of the remaining six contestants at 16/1 and 66/1 respectively.
Liam Glynn, BoyleSports spokesperson said: “It’s already been a year of upsets with Brexit and Trump and Honey G could well prove to be another one.
" Having been backed down from 100/1, Honey G now has a realistic chance of winning the X Factor with punters now backing her into 9/2 from 7/1.”
