X Factor's Honey G has hit back at Lily Allen after being branded 'offensive'.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac last week, singer Lily Allen became the latest to take aim at Honey G.
Discussing cultural appropriation in the music industry, the Hard Out Here hitmaker told the radio station: “As far as I can tell she is a white lady that dresses up in Ali G, Goldie Lookin Chain kind of attire.
“She has done really well on X Factor and ITV is pouring money into her. I’m not black but I find it offensive.
"So wrong on so many levels, I can’t even start to talk about it.”
However in an interview with local newspaper GetWestLondon, Honey G responded to the comments, as well as remarks from Professor Green who rubbished her music during an appearance on the Xtra Factor
Honey G said: "Lily Allen said she finds it offensive but she needs to get her facts right. Professor Green said I'm taking the mickey out of rap music.
"But then Snoop Dogg has talked about doing a record with me and 50 Cent has backed me."
Indeed, the talk of 'cultural appropriation' has been slammed by rapper 50 Cent who stuck up for Honey G last month.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “For anybody who thinks a white person performing music of black origin is racist, you know they don’t know what racism really is.
“Come and speak to real victims of racism who have seen their kids shot up. These people complaining ain’t got a clue."
The X Factor continues Sunday night at 8PM on ITV.
