The X Factor's Frankie Cocozza has spilled on the truth behind THAT drugs scandal that saw him quit the show.
Frankie appeared on The X Factor back in 2011, making it through to the live shows.
However he ended up quitting half way through the competition amid claims he had taken drugs.
Now Frankie has revealed what - according to him, at least - really went on.
Saying that he took on the role of the X Factor's bad boy, the musician explained: “They wanted a young 18-year-old to be that. They wanted to give someone that image and I was bang up for going out and getting on it all the time anyway.
“I f****** slotted straight in. From my first audition I had the tattoos on my arse and stuff.”
He accused show bosses at the time of encouraging his behaviour, saying: “It felt a little bit weird. They were offering me VIP here, there, everywhere.
“I should have been rehearsing and cracking on with the live shows. It did feel a little bit contrived but as I said, I snapped it up and I was bang up for it.”
And Frankie alleged that claims of his drug use were leaked to the press by the show.
"I was on the cover of every f****** newspaper for being a coke head in about an hour after they promised me it wouldn’t happen," he told the Daily Star newspaper. “All they said was they were going to release a statement saying I’d broken a rule. An hour into the journey home after that meeting, It’s everywhere.
“They obviously chucked it out there because it’s a big deal and it was a big deal. A young 18-year-old boy who’s a bit controversial anyway - of course it’s going to sell papers.”
Frankie added: “I felt like a victim. Even though I did wrong and I know I did wrong, for them to chuck it out there and put me in that situation was disgusting, really.”
A spokesperson for The X Factor told the paper they had no comment.
The X Factor 2016 is back this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV at 8PM with Disco week.
