X Factor 2016: Honey G's company goes bust owing money

X Factor star Honey G's company has gone bust owing money.

The singer - real name Anna Georgette Gilford - has been working as a recruitment consultant in her day job.

But her company has fallen on hard times and was put up for sale earlier this year.

“It’s not doing very well and I’m in debt with the tax man so I am looking for a way out for my life at the moment," Honey G said previously.

Now the Daily Mirror reports that the business, which had been turning over as much as half a million pounds each year, has gone bust.

It's left creditors angry with Honey emailing one of them to say: “Unfortunately my business is now insolvent. I have no assets and no money in the company. I cannot afford to pay your bill.

“I have also taken indefinite leave from my business to compete in the live finals of X Factor. I’m looking now to leave my business and pursue a full time career as a rap music artist. Sorry.”

A 'source close to Honey G' told the newspaper of the situation: “Honey took advice on the valuation of her company as she’s not qualified to value it herself. Since then the company has decreased in value as it has lost contractors and is no longer trading.

“Any remaining funds were used to pay debts, tax and bills. She has no remaining funds to pay off outstanding creditors.”

The X Factor continues tonight on ITV from 8PM.
