X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing fighting to get Michael Bublé to perform

Michael Bublé

X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing are reportedly fighting to get Michael Bublé on their respective shows.

The Canadian crooner is a Christmas favourite and it seems he goes into hibernation until this time of year.

And he's back again and both X Factor and Strictly want him to perform on their live shows.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, programme bosses are keen to sign Michael for their respective final in December.

"Michael Bublé is probably the biggest-selling male artist around at the moment," a source told the newspaper. "He’d be a huge ratings winner for either Strictly or X Factor."

The insider added: "He’s performed on both shows numerous times in the past so the fight to sign him up this year has already begun."

Meanwhile, Michael has ruled out ever competing on Strictly Come Dancing because of the show's so-called curse.

The married singer said: "I would be too afraid that I would fall in love with the professional that I would be dancing with.

"I honestly do not know how everyone is not having sex with everyone else in that show."

The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing both air Saturdays and Sunday nights on ITV and BBC One respectively.
