Emily Middlemas has seen her odds of winning The X Factor 2016 cut dramatically.
However Matt Terry remains the one to beat as we head towards the half way stage of this year's live shows.
There were a few shocks and horrors on X Factor’s Fright Night with Gifty Louise’s surprise departure and an overhaul in the betting.
Now four weeks into the finals, Matt continues to head the betting as the favourite to win and has been cut further from 4/6 to 8/13.
However Boylesports reports that there is a new punters’ pick in town, as Emily Middlemas stole the show with her emotional and pitch perfect rendition of Radiohead’s Creep.
The bets came pouring in for Emily off the back of her performance and resulted in her odds being slashed to the 3/1 second favourite from her larger price of 10/1.
5 After Midnight have suffered a fall from grace as they drift out to third place in the betting. The boyband are now the largest price they have been to win at 10/1 after being pushed all the way out from 9/2.
Honey G is starting to close in on the X Factor favourites as she shortens yet again. The rapper started her X Factor journey as a massive 100/1 longshot, but has steadily gained support and is now 12/1 from 16/1 to win.
Aoife Heffron from BoyleSports said: “Emily Middlemas was the standout performance from Fright Night and her odds quickly shortened from 10/1 to 3/1 as the bets began to pour in for the Scottish teen to win. She still has a bit to go to catch long running favourite Matt Terry, but the betting has really been shaken up.”
She added “Honey G has avoided the bottom three every week and it would be silly to rule her out of contention for the X Factor title. Many punters agree, having snapped up her 16/1 price seeing her cut to 12/1, placing her fourth in line to win.”
