Simon Cowell has demanded Louis Walsh apologise over his jibe at past X Factor groups.
It's after Louis praised Four Of Diamonds' on Saturday, remarking: "We’ve finally got a girl group where everybody sings – we haven’t had that in a long time."
Clearly Louis wasn't watching last year's show where 4th Impact stormed the stage and he also forgot Little Mix, who are currently Number 1 in the charts.
In fact, this week the girls became X Factor's most successful winners ever with four Number 1s to their name.
On Twitter, Mixers hit out at Louis' remark with one writing: "Did not like that comment @TheXFactor @LittleMix are amazing singers and all can sing #XFactor"
On Sunday night's Xtra Factor, Simon gave Louis a talking to.
"Who were you referring to last night on the show, when you were talking about ‘it’s nice to work with a group who can actually sing’?" Simon quizzed.
Louis claimed he was referring to Nicole Scherzinger and her Pussycat Dolls, before adding: “I was talking about a lot of girl groups.”
Simon continued: “I think it was disrespectful, bearing in mind how many groups have done well on this show – Little Mix, One Direction, JLS. It was inferring that they weren’t any good.”
Louis insisted: “No, I wasn’t inferring that!”
“Well, then you can apologise!” demanded Simon.
Despite Louis' praise for Four Of Diamonds on the main show, on the Xtra Factor on Saturday he was caught out a bit for seeming to FORGET them.
Speaking of his other group 5 After Midnight in front of the girls, Louis declared: "I'd like to say something, I think they're the best group I've ever worked with on X Factor."
However, his lack of regard for Four of Diamonds didn't go unnoticed.
Presenter Rylan Clark-Neal stuck up for the girls, asking: "How do you think they would feel after hearing that?"
Louis then tried to backtrack, responding: "They're the best boyband. Boyband!"
It just wouldn't be The X Factor without Louis, let's be honest.
The X Factor continues next Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
