Emily Middlemas has insisted she WILL (eventually) sing an upbeat song on The X Factor.
The Scottish singer has expressed a desire to sing an uptempo number since the live shows began, but mentor Simon Cowell hasn't been as keen.
Emily previously revealed hopes to perform an uptempo number for divas week and finally being allowed to move.
"I've been stuck, the first one I was in a cage and the second one I was in a circle," Emily said of her first performances on the live shows.
However last week the teenager was again left glued to the spot with a slowed down cover of Whitney Houston's How Will I Know.
Chatting afterwards on Xtra Factor, Emily confessed it wasn't what she actually wanted.
"I really wanted to [sing an upbeat song] this week but I guess I kind of have to take Simon's words," Emily told hosts Matt Edmondson and Rylan Clark-Neal on ITV2's Xtra Factor last weekend.
This week Emily was again given a slow number, performing Creep for the Halloween theme.
"I was standing in the first round, then I moved a little but then I was standing again, and now I'm sitting!" she said on Xtra Factor.
Assuming Emily gets through on Sunday night, she told Xtra Factor: "I will try [to perform an upbeat] song... if [the Jukebox] lands on disco then 110%!"
In an interview this week, Emily admitted to not wanting to overrule mentor Simon on her song choices.
She explained: "Simon has been in this industry for years so he knows what he's doing."
It's despite saying she wasn't happy when he changed her 'Express Yourself' song choice in Week 1.
Emily told OK! Magazine she wished she stuck with her original track, Britney Spear's Toxic.
The X Factor 2016 airs Saturday and Sunday nights at 8PM.
