Nicole Scherzinger reckons Ryan Lawrie can still win The X Factor.
Ryan was in the bottom three for a second week in a row on Sunday night but was again saved by the life line twist.
A new feature this year, the life line vote gives viewers 5 minutes to save an act from the sing-off via a free poll on The X Factor app.
Speaking on the Xtra Factor, Nicole backed Ryan despite his second appearance in the danger zone.
She said: "I like to believe I still have two winners [Ryan and Matt Terry]. I was disappointed he was in the bottom three but he was saved. Thank you so much for those votes. I do feel the pressure is kind of on…"
Nicole added: "For me, honestly, [Saturday] night was the first time I felt Ryan was doing his thing and I had no notes.
"I couldn't have been more proud of him doing his thing, his way, so I don't know what went wrong."
Ryan performed Rolling In The Deep by Adele for Divas week and while Nicole was full of praise, the other judges weren't as positive.
Simon Cowell complained: "I thought the performance was almost too clean, it needs roughing up. If I imagine what a pancake would be like if it performed, it would be flat."
But Nicole hit back in defence of Ryan: "You need to check your ears. It was cool and I love how you flipped it. You did your own thing your way."
The X Factor 2016 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV from 8PM.
It's Halloween weekend and Louisa Johnson has been booked to perform new single So Good on Sunday night.
