X Factor's Emily Middle says she REALLY wanted to do an upbeat song

Emily Middlemas has admitted her latest X Factor performance isn't what she wanted.

Last weekend Emily revealed she was planning to speed things up on The X Factor this week.

Emily teased she hoped to go upbeat for Diva night and "have as much fun as I can. I've not really had the chance to move about.

"I've been stuck, the first one I was in a cage and the second one I was in a circle."

Emily didn't know what song she'd be singing at the time but suggested a Beyonce number could well be on the cards.

"Everyone would love a Beyonce song," she smiled.

However instead, Emily was left stuck to the spot again with a slowed down cover of Whitney Houston's How Will I Know.

While mentor Simon Cowell loved it, Nicole Scherzinger wasn't totally moved and many viewers at home branded it 'boring'.

Chatting afterwards on Xtra Factor, Emily confessed it wasn't what she actually wanted.

"I really wanted to [sing an upbeat song] this week but I guess I kind of have to take Simon's words," Emily told hosts Matt Edmondson and Rylan Clark-Neal on ITV2.

However she insisted she was happy with the performance.

"I loved it, it was such an amazing thing, I just put everything into it," Emily raved.
