Simon Cowell has congratulated Little Mix after they scored a fourth number one single.
And it was an X Factor top two in the charts after Little Mix knocked fellow X Factor winner James Arthur off the top spot.
The group went straight in at Number on this week’s Official Singles Chart last night with new single Shout Out To My Ex.
The song racked up a hefty 95,000 combined chart sales from downloads and streams, according to Official Charts Company data, following their performance on last Sunday’s X Factor results show.
"I could not be more proud of @LittleMix reaching No.1. Huge congratulations girls. And as always thank you to the fans," Simon Cowell tweeted after the news.
Little Mix told OfficialCharts.com after getting their award: “We want to say a massive thank you for getting us here!
"Everyone can relate to this song. Everyone’s had an ex or a bad relationship and this is a big positive break-up anthem.”
Shout Out To My Ex is Little Mix’s fourth Number 1 track following X Factor winner's song Cannonball, follow up track Wings and last year's Black Magic.
It's the third British Number 1 single this year following 1D's Zayn Malik and James Arthur, who drops down to Number 2 this week with Say You Won't Let Go.
