X Factor battle for Number 1: Can Little Mix beat James Arthur?

There's an X Factor battle brewing for Number 1 in the charts this week.

Currently, 2012 champ James Arthur is in the top spot with his comeback track Say You Won't Let Go.

The song hit number 1 earlier this month and has stayed their for the past three weeks.

Last Sunday James returned to The X Factor to perform the song and it's on course to stay in pole position for another week.

The Official Charts Company report that the song has had 35,000 total sales so far.

If James can hang on, it'll make the track his biggest Number 1 hit ever following winner's single Impossible.

However there is another X Factor act aiming to take that title off him.

2011 winners Little Mix were on the show last night as they performed new single Shoutout To My Ex.

It was the debut of the track, the first to be taken from their new album Glory days, and the song went online to buy and stream straight after the show.

Despite having only been available for hours and all other tracks enjoying a two day head start, Shoutout To My Ex is already at Number 14 in today's midweeks.

The song went straight to Number 1 on iTunes but James Arthur appears to be out-streaming the girls, making for a potentially close result come Friday night's Top 40 reveal.
